Adele, my son is 8. He was diagnosed at 8months. So, its been a long road. But we are going to keep pushing! Thank you for all of your knowledge on DMD support!
it's great to hear jason is doing so well : )
fred is 11, he went off his feet quite suddenly after a fall may 08; i find it hard at times coping with him physically, but he makes it easier being mainly a happy lad
fred is my youngest child, my others are 21, 19, 17... 2 girls and a boy, all unaffected by dmd
i think fred is doing quite well, his heart and lung function seem ok at the moment.... the doctors are quering his bone density, so he's had scans and bloods, just waiting to hear back
in september fred starts his senior school, it's a main stream school with a special unit that give extra suppport to kids with physical disabilities. it's a big step, all new kids... and a new school uniform, blazer and tie!! he's so not looking forward to that !
you take care x

Thank you so much for your comments. I want you to know that my faith keeps me going, knowing I will see him again. How old is your son?
No I didn't go this year. I am planning on going next year though.
I hope all goes well with your week
