Hey Diana! It was so great to meet you and get to know you! I kind of crashed and burned after the conference but am hearing from others that they were the same. How have you been since the conference? Thanks for introducing me to Debbie Edwards. She is so sweet ans was helpful in getting info. during a session I wanted to attend but couldn't!!
Did you get any information about Kendall (sp?)?? Have been thinking about you. (I just got back early Sunday morning---didn't have acces to internet while I was in Hilton Head so wasn't able to check in with you.) I know you were very anxious to get back to figure things out.
Hope all is well (realtively speaking, right?) and keep in touch! Jill
So sorry to hear about Kendall. That must have been very hard to hear. I don't think I am considering AD's for myself yet, although I did have post-partum and had to take them then. I do go through these cycles of depressed and not depressed though but I have never sought a professional opinion. I guess I just don't want to have to rely on meds. But I was a proponent of them for post-partum because they really made a difference then. But I am always available to talk to though. I will send you my phone # via email. Call me anytime, REALLY. I am a good listener I may not always have a lot to say though. But if you just need a friendly ear you can count on me. We are all going to deal with hard times from now on, if we can't rely on each other, who can we rely on. Let me know if I can be of any help at all.
How have you been since conference. Rhiannon and I have both been a little depressed. I started Brogan's Deflazacort on Saturday. I think that may have a little to do with my mood. How are Logan and Kendall doing? Hope you all are doing well. Talk to you soon.
Let me know when you figure the photo thing out. I was trying last night to upload a photo with out success. I have a Mac and I was trying to do it through I photo and my desktop. I will try saving it in photoshop and see if it works. I am sure John will get back with you soon.
Just checking in to say hi and tell you that I did see Amy the day before she moved and she was worried that you would think she was ignoring you and I assured her that I had already told you that it might be a while before she contacted you. Hope all is well and will check in with you a bit later. Jill
Hi there----I am so sorry I haven't gotten in touch with you yet! we just got back from Disneyworld and are moving on wed---things are crazy to say the least. I would love to talk with you. We are moving to Argyle (close to Denton) in probably August. we will be staying with my mom in Austin until then. My cell number is 281-636-9600. Please call anytime ----we will be a little out of pocket until this weekend but will be around all next week and I'd love to visit with you. I am so very sorry about Logan---my heart breaks a million times a day watching Corbin. I know how you feel. It's still very hard to take in. My husband and I are trying to get to the conference in July---would love to meet you there. My new email is email@example.com't be checking it for a few days though with the move and all. Please call me next week though. Looking forward to talking with you.
I will tell Amy as I will be seeing her tomorrow. I sent her an email yesterday with your name, email, etc. It might be a bit before she is able to respond b/c the movers show up tomorrow and she leaves Houston Thurs. But I know she will be anxious to talk to you, so she will get back to you. I need to register, too. We will probably fly in on Wed. since the first presentation is at 12:30 on Thurs. Cheers!
Good news on the roommate! I hope we do get to meet at the conference! I misspelled the "Poysky's" last name--I thought it didn't look right but it was 2 a.m., so I'm gonna claim that as the reason for my mistake=)
I am so sorry for your recent diagnosis. We've known for about 6 mos. and are still trying to take it all in--which I'm sure we never will! I know how raw your emotions are and contact with another family is something you crave!! I have a friend who is moving to the Dallas area in about 2 wks. Her profile is on this site--Amy Fanning. Not sure if she gets on here often but if you let me know you sent her a msg., I can email her and let her know. (I don't know her email off the top of my head or I'd give it to you.) I know she is anxious to meet others in the DMD community. Her son was diagnosised 2-3 months ago, so she is hungry for knowledge too! You could also send James or Rachel Posky a msg.(find them in members or the Texas group), as they are good friends with the founders of F.E.D. (I think that is the name --Foundation to Eradicate Duchenne), and they (the founders) live in the Dallas area--they put Amy in touch with them, too. Good luck finding others--I'm sure if you contact Amy or the Poskys you will be on your way! Feel free to chat any time! (Oh, and yes my husband and I are going to the conference. Amy probably will too--don't know about her husband though, so maybe a potential roommate!)
