We live in Syracuse. We built a ramp in the garage into the house. It is steeper than a normal ramp as the boys were always going to be in an electric chair, so it does not take up a ton of room. About 8 feet. A little platform at the top for the chairs to make the turn. It has worked well and is out of the weather. $500 and my labor versus the incredible cost of a lift.
