PPMD's 2018 Advocacy Conference | Schedule of Events

The PPMD Advocacy Conference registration is live! Join us March 4-6 in Washington DC to advocate for Duchenne directly with Members of Congress.

Our community’s presence in Washington has been critical in helping to move the needle in Duchenne clinical, research, and regulatory priorities. This March, we hope you will join us for several powerful and critical days, including a special event for the Monday of conference that will provide an opportunity to have federal agencies hear our voice as well. It’s a week in which we have the opportunity to make an indelible impact. Please join us!

The schedule of events includes:

Sunday, March 4th

  • Advocate Training (includes Duchenne community updates and guest presentations)
    3:00pm-7:30pm, Mayflower Hotel

Monday, March 5th

  • Duchenne Patient Focused Compass Meeting
    10:00am-4:00pm, Mayflower Hotel

    The Duchenne Patient-Focused Compass meeting held on Monday will be comprised of panels and presentations with Duchenne community members (patients and caregivers) and select clinician researchers to explore ‘living with Duchenne’, clinical trial and therapeutic experiences, and access to approved therapies, across the Duchenne spectrum. The FDA and other federal agencies have been invited to attend. More information about the Duchenne Patient Focused Compass Meeting will be coming soon.

Tuesday, March 6th

  • Advocate Hill Meetings
    All Day, House and Senate Buildings
  • Duchenne Community Congressional Briefing
    Lunchtime, Capitol Hill
