WOW!!! You are so fortunate to work full time caring for grandchildren! Although I love my job, I would love even more to be with my grandchildren all day. I do get to see them everyday, though, and they sleep at my house on weekends. My heart pitter patters everytime I see them. Riley is five years old and was diagnosed with DMD in January of this year. His sister, Reagan, is nine years old and his baby cousin, Sawyer, is five months old. I have already planned a sleepover with all three on this coming Saturday night. I, too, am a Catholic and love my faith. Of, course, I respect all other faiths but am a devout Catholic. I'm glad that you joined the grandparents' group - sometimes people do not realize that grandparents grieve and hurt for our boys with DMD as much as the parents do. Some days I have really bad days dealing with it but my faith, family, and friends pull me through. Well, time for me to go and prepare supper but I hope to hear from you. Have a wonderful day!
Are you Wendy's mom? Mother-in-law? I have been sending her e-mails on this site. Welcome and thank you for joining. I think we'd all like our families to join!
In health and happiness,
Rebecca
I am sorry for the circumstances that bring you to this website but hope you will find hope for your grandson here.
I have heard about your jewerly and look forward to seeing it soon.
I live in Sacramento and all three of my children attended Sacred Heart school. My oldest two graduated from Christian Brothers high school and my youngest who has dmd will be a junior at Sacramento New Technology high school.
I spent about ten years helping with Soup supper for Sacred Heart church.
