I was born in Salt Lake City, UT, but we moved to Coppell (suburb of Dallas) when I was 10, so Texas is home. I am stay at home mom to four wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and writing.

About my family:
My husband, Dallin, and I were married in Dallas almost 16 years ago. We have four beautiful children - Baden, Brooklyn, Ella and Porter (13,12, 10, 8). They are a delight and we have a lot of fun together - it does get crazy sometimes, but we love it.

We will miss you at conference, but totally understand. Have fun on your vacation!! We have scheduled Sam's Day for October 24th and would love to have you again. We are close to getting FACES rolling in this part of Texas. Hopefully soon. I'll let you know.
It sounds like your really close to us. We live in between Keller and Roanoke. I have a son, Austin, 9, who has DMD. I also have 2 girls, Alexis and Callie ages 13, and another boy,Dillon age 9. I have talked to a couple of other families through email, but have not yet met any. It's great knowing there are other families so close.
Yes I remember meeting you. I just got back with Ben from Cincinnati. He has seen Dr. Wong 3 times now. He was fitted for long leg KFO walking braces and can stand in walk in them. It will take some more practice. Ben is now 15 1/2. We are finishing up home modifications and ordering his first power chair and the van.
WHAT? That is crazy! Three years old? Im so glad you went elsewhere. Yeah, I went for the first time last year. Waited 1 1/2 for both doctors to show up (in the examining room, not the waiting room) and then they barely even touched my son. I had a list of questions which always irritates the docs anyways, and we also had to do the MDA camp physical and wow...like I said, he barely touched him. The actual examination took less than 30 minutes. Because of the military, we moved around alot and we had gone to MDA Clinic in Oklahoma City and the MDA Clinic in Washington D.C. and they were absolutely incredible. Their examinations were usually 2 hours long because they saw EVERYBODY. Thats just horrible. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! I talked to Tanya and she said she also has the boys see the same doc as you.
My goodness aren't your kids cute! Four kids...wow...and two with DMD. Just makes me wanna kick and scream sometimes, you know? Thanks for adding me as one of your friends and for the nice compliment. Where is Flower Mound and do you go to the MDA Clinic in Fort Worth?
