About me:: My name is Melissa and I'm Aunt and Nanny to the most amazing little guy in the world name Brogan Patrick Burns. He stole my heart the day he was born and he's had it ever since. He's 5 years old and was diagnosed with DMD at the end of 2007.

About my family:: There's me and my mom and dad (Mary Lynn and Earl), my older brother Clayten, his wife Michelle, and their two boys Brogan (5, dmd) and Liam (2)

How did you family find out his diagnosis? My grandson was a toe walker, went to gastro doctor, liver enzymes high, then ran CK level (muscle enzyme) was 15,000!! Doctors in S. Florida diagnosed as Becker MD but went to Nationwide Children in Ohio (Jerry Mendell Clinic) and they changed to Duchene. My grandson is still walking, however, in school he has started to use a motorized chair. He tires easily. Would love to know more about your nephew and I would be glad to share about by grandson.
