Hey Matt,
I just recently started writing myself (after having thought about it for years). I would love to read some of your stuff if you don't mind sharing.
I too would love to change ideas about disability, especially for my son Simon.
Welcome to PPMD, and I hope your desire to be as independent as possible works out for you. Since our son is 11 and we live in Canada, I have no experience to help you out in that area, but I can wish you luck.
