Thanks so much for your wall comment! My first one! I'm new! You have a lovely family! What a perfect picture. I see both your children are young, and my frankie has recently passed away. When Frankie was your son's age I found it very difficult to even think of him loosing abilities, but he gained so much from life, for each thing he couldn't do, he would simply do another, and achieve in the ways he could. If he couldn't ride a bike, he'd get really good with computers etc. There are many challenges, but with positivity and love, you can overcome anything!
Ty is 1 1/2 and is a complete handfull. I am sorry to hear that Kevin is slowing down. We ended up getting Jason a scooter at school to help reduce fatigue. It seems to be working pretty good so far. We finally got Jason approved for some additional services at school through and IEP. Heather is back at another year and it has been a little hectic. We really need to get together again. Sorry that I missed the Golf this year but Heather had her 20 year reunion on the same day. I will be there next year. Let me know what your weekends look like and we can see if we can make a trip up to your house. Talk to you soon.
Hi! Brian and I went to the conference--my third now--and I have to say I was pleased at how the businesses and researchers showed their progress. "Here's what we said last year at the conference, here's what we've done since then, Here's where we hope to be by next year, etc.
I'm so technologically unsavvy it's pitiful, but I'm working on it! ;) Hope all is well with you in Grand Rapids!
We are adding onto our house, expanding an already existing bedroom downstairs (it is very small) and putting in a wheelchair accessible bathroom adjoining it. Daniel's bedroom is upstairs. He is still pretty good on stairs but does complain sometimes about climbing them. I carry things up for him a lot and try to do most of his retrieving when he wants something up or down to avoid him going up and down them too much. I will be relieved when he is downstairs - hopefully this fall.
