Thanks for your note, Koksal. We're continuing to interview adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 to learn their opinions about clinical trials using a gene transfer process that someday may be available. (A gene transfer approach to treating DMD is not currently available for human trials). If your son is interested and can communicate reasonably well in English, we could begin an email interview with him any time. If you send me an email to my university address (william.reynolds@stockton.edu), I will send you some documents that describe in more detail the issues we would like to discuss. If your son has opinions about these issues and would like to participate in our research through email, I would be happy to include him.
