I'm a mother of three kids. Thankfully I can be a stay at home mom at present. I'm actually looking forward to eventually getting back in the rat race.
About my family:
We are a Marine Corps family and are enjoying getting to finally settle down at our last duty station before retirement!
All three of our kids have their own unique personalities. Our oldest, Cody (14), has DMD. He loves to draw and is a sponge when it comes to school. Our second son, Austin (13) does not but is definitely my helper and my miscreant - trouble seems to follow him everywhere, and our third child, Abby (8) is as yet untested to see if she is a carrier. I think she's eight going on twenty-five!
I've been married to my Marine for over thirteen years now. It's definitely been an adventure to say the least!

Hi Amy! I was at PT yesterday afternoon and wondered how you all were doing? Drop me a note sometime and let me know. My email address is latman29@hotmail.com Take care!
Sorry to hear about Cody's leg. Did he have the two surgeries on the one leg or did something else happen? We are doing okay. Mason became totally wheelchair dependent about 3 months ago. He walked for as long as he could and then we had to have drs tell him that for his own safety it would be best to just stop. He was okay with it but sometimes I feel like I cannot believe we have gotten here. It seemed like it went so fast.
We are still going to the same PT but our therapist is on maternity leave. Then we get this letter from Health Net and the Childrens Hospital of Richmond that they will be an out-of-network provider. That will be just one more worry to add to the pile if Health Net won't allow us to continue with Children's. We have been going there for over 7 years!!! Have your kids started school yet? Also, how has Cody done with his pulmonology testing? Hope you have a great weekend! I don't know about you but I hope it cools down soon.
Hi Amy
Is really nice to have somebody so close. My husband is in the Navy, he works in Dalghren and we are also in our last tour before retirement. My little ones are Samuel and Cristus and looks like both of them have Duchenne.
Thanks and talk you soon.
