PROPOSAL: If you have experience putting a cookbook together and If you would like to be on the cookbook committee, have NO plans this Sunday (October 4); and if you have skype let us meet around 1pm et on Skype. My screen name is dee.bird We can do a video conference and see if we can get the ball rolling on this.
I believe if we get started on this, we can have the cookbook published by this spring and ready to raise funds.
If this Sunday is not good for you but would like to be part of the committee, please let us know.
WE can create an email where people can submit their suggestions/ideas for the cookbook and see what can be taken it into consideration.
Anyone would like to join in...let us know.
Hi Dee and Julie:
I don't not have any cookbook experience nor am I I great cook BUT you know I have the determination of a MomMom so anything you need me to do I will and I have some really great recipes from my mom so let me know if you need me.
We have our event coming up this Saturday with the raindate of the next Saturday and I will have to figure out how to get on Skype? So if we could postpone it just for a few weeks or you want to get started and then I can get caught up that's fine too.

Dee My wife and I put a Scottish cookbook together this year for Action Duchenne (formerly Parent Project UK). It took 6 months of hard work but it has been very well received. We had it professionally designed and printed it in full color with a hardback cover. It appeals to a broader range of people rather than just those that would support a charity. We have recipes from 40 famous Scots and we funded the design and print by getting restaurants to donate £100 ($160) to have a recipe page. There is a third section for supporters of the charity who donated between $50 -$150 for a recipe page. Another source of funding came from sponsors who paid $1600 up front and received 100 books, when they were printed, to give to their customers.
The celebrities have attracted buyers from the USA, France, Germany and Australia.
There is a website that you can have a look at the details of the book. http://www.thecaledoniankitchen.co.uk
If you want any advice about what we did over here just get in touch.
Best regards
Kenny Munro
Thank Kenny! can you send me your email in case we have any questions.
We also can custom our cover as well and design. It cost a little more but it is well worth it. I just would like to see how some of your pages looks like inside. Is there something we can see any of the pages inside? Advise! dee
