My sister Nancy from New Jersey has worked with a bunch of parents and friends to get all the recipes collected, entereted, and standardized. I know a lot of people contributed and I am sorry if I don't mention your contributions in this posting.
My wife Ruth has now taken over from Nancy to finalize the book and get it moved to production. We are working closely with PPMD to get the book reviewed, publicized, and then distributed. Current thoughts are to have it available for sale on the PPMD web site AND orderable via Amazon.com.
Although we're still finalizing, the books may be used to help drive traffic and awareness to the www.ParentProjectMD.org/Amazon web site. Hopefully we all already know if friends, family, co-workers go to Amazon through that link the PPMD gets cash worth approx. 5% of the total sales amount. You would be surprized how many parents I speak to have no idea about the Amazon deal and how easy it is!
One concept was to make the book effort an annual or bi-annual effort. We'll reserve that idea/decision once we see how successful this book effort becomes.
I am going to guess the books will be available late June. This would be good timing since the Advocacy conference is in July in Baltimore.
The effort is alive and well. Thanks to everyone who has contributed!
