When Noah was ~2 we visited with Baylor Medical doctors who were experimenting with bone marrow transplant (cell therapy). Ultimately we did not participate due to the risks involved (infection, rejection) and the limited efficacy of the treatment. The doctors in that 'trial' were very realistic and had a lot of data they presented to the potential patients.
In this case, there is no real data that I can find. There is no real indication that at this point after the treatments there has been any improvement. I would want to know that I am not putting my child in imminent danger and that there would be a real benefit before proceeding.
