Heart Transplant update

We wanted to give a update on Josh. Joshs 3yr. Heart Transplant anniversary is March 24!!! Transplant CAN be done in DMD!!!! Josh is preparing for college in the fall. Any question on transplant please feel free to contact us and pass it on ...Heart Transplants are not just for Becker. Duchenne boys deserve a fighting chance.

Wow, every bit just keeps us going and gives us hope. This is so wonderful. Good luck in College. Kelvin already talks about what he'll do when he gets to College, and although he is only 6, we're gonna get him there. Michelle

Enjoy college! I have to go to one of my son's graduation this weekend but he's been working for months now since before he finished the course. Doug who has DMD doesnt finish his course until next year. How long did it take to feel your old/new self again? My husband's had his heart valve replaced twice in his mid 20's and mid 30's so just wondering if your recovery period was any longer? Docs told my husband 20 yrs ago he would likely live to be 70. Back then we thought that just awesome but today's medicine must be better again. Have you written any articles or books about your experience - be wonderful if you could. Would like to read it.
