Genetic Bandage? Is this one worth getting excited about?

Hi Everyone,

I know that there are many of you out there who know a lot more about upcoming treatments.  Is the hype of this article worth getting excited about?  It sounds very promising...

This is certainly worth getting excited about. It looks real good so far but might be quite a few years from reaching us.
Steve Wilton is the lead researcher at the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute (ANRI) located in Perth, Western Australia.

Exon skipping and genetic band aids are one and the same so yes there is a lot to be excited about when you read articles like this :D
Hi Julie -

Of course, it didn't occur to me that this was just another word for that technology - always hoping for something new and promising, I guess...
Sometimes the realisation that this is not something new, but just a different name for an existing possibility is not such a bad thing .... I think I'd rather that, than the realisation that a new "discovery" is nothing but snake oil :)
