Adaptive Fishing Gear?

ISO adaptive fishing gear. We don't fish a lot, but we have a trip planned in March to include a day on the water. My DMD son loves to fish but expressed that he had a hard time reeling in the fish last year (it is tiring and the fish pull back). It makes him anxious and I was to alleviate that while still allowing him to participate in family fun.

Anyone out there a fisherman (to be clear: We are NOT fisherman....just like to fish once in a while ;-)

A google search shows me that there are electric reels (but they are crazy expensive). Any ideas?

We are lucky to know "a guy" locally who loves to get creative in his shop. He sells all terrain wheelchairs too. His name is Chris McIlwain and he is one great guy. If all else fails, maybe he can help.
