Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. is developing a unique cardiac cell therapy called CAP-1002. These allogeneic cells are being tested to determine if they are safe and effective in improving heart function and structure by decreasing scar tissue and promoting growth of heart muscle. Such effects may improve or prevent the development of heart failure. Capricor has been granted an orphan drug designation by the FDA to investigate CAP-1002 for the treatment of cardiomyopathy associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Please join PPMD, Coalition Duchenne and Capricor as we host a webinar Wednesday, January 13 at 1pm eastern to discuss the HOPE-Duchenne trial which recently opened for enrollment in the US. We will provide a brief background of CAP-1002 and its clinical development to date that has led to this exciting trial. The webinar will also review the trial design, eligibility criteria, and assessments that participants will need to complete if they participate in the trial, as well as the travel policy for participants who need to travel to a trial site. For more information regarding HOPE-Duchenne ahead of the webinar, please visit clinicaltrials.gov (NCT02485938). Speakers:
