What is the "Rosstoberfest© Run?"
The Rosstoberfest Run is a 5K event; with a "Kids for Ross" 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk taking place in beautiful and charming College Hill on the east side of Wichita. This event is part of the “Run For Our Sons” program to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. PPMD is a non-profit organization dedicated to expedite viable treatments and a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
The race course, designed by Run Wichita's Clark Ensz, is appreciated by both novice and veteran runners alike. Results for this years race will be posted after the event and will include ultra accurate chip timing provided by Clark and Run Wichita. If you're not a competitor, just run (or walk) to have fun, that's quite alright! This course is designed to be enjoyed by everyone, no matter your ability, or your desire to set a world record!
This years 6th annual event will be hosted on Saturday October 5, 2013! The race will kick off at 9:30 am so show up early to pick up your registration packet (The first 1,000 entrants will receive a world class, uber-cool, Rosstoberfest technical running shirt, as well as other nice swag.), you can get a tattoo (temporary of course) and get warmed up for what promises to be another great run!
