I get depressed every September. It is my Jeffrey's birthday. I think in my head it is one more year to the end and or one more year further into the hell of this disease. Birthdays, are suppose to be fun and exciting and i find myself sad and depressed.

Jen- It was great seeing you again in DC. What an awesome experience. I'll be back next year for sure. It is always such a comfort to talk to people who know exactly what you are going through. You crack me up too and it helps me to remember that you have to keep smiling and fighting. Take care.

Hello!! I was reading a post a while back about Juven. I started giving this to my son a couple of days ago. How do you give it to him? I have been just putting it in 8 oz of water, but it is so bitter that it take Cade everything he has to swallow it. I seen that you said that putting it in koolaid, but is this already mixed and you just put the juven in 8oz? Thanks!!

Jenny,

I hope your trip to see Brenda went well. I have met Karen and Polly and they are great people. We e-mail and talk a lot back and forth so when I found out you were meeting with them I was a little jealous that I was not going this time. Nick goes once an year and I like to make it in the summer when he is out of school.

You take care and I look forward to seeing in you peron some time soon.

Jenny,

You were such a lifesaver during the marathon. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We were waiting at mile 18 and wanted to make sure that we saw everyone, but didn't know where they all were on when to expect them. We only missed one runner, but he didn't have on a green shirt or look for us.

Where are you guys staying at Disney? We are trying to decide where to make our reservations and would love to be near you and the Hiatts. Did you get my response to your breakfast email? My email is spotty at delivering! We would love to meet for a character breakfast. Anywhere is fine. We have even been to the Crystal Palace to have breakfast with the Pooh characters and the food is awesome!

Hope all is going well!
Stefanie

Hi Jen- Sorry I have not called or e-mailed lately. School is keeping us very busy. My older son Kyle is now in Cub Scouts and Patrick has been tagging along. Behaviors are somewhat better. I decreaesd his Prednisone to 10mg daily and started the new med. Focaxlin XR (ADHD) last week. I'll keep you updated. We have an apt. at CHOP 12/19, can't wait to see their approach. Take care. Jess

Hi Jen--
I expect my son to start on deflazacorte next week, and really wanted to hear your thoughts on the supplements and deflazacorte effects. Could you please let me know Danny's regime and also what kind of difference you saw in him once he started the steroids?
Feel free to give me a call if it's easier. (610-388-3434).
Thanks,
Regina Reidenberg

Hi Jen- Hope all is well, please call me when you get a chance. I have some questions about steroids and the behaviors again. Last time we talked you mentioned that the boys need to be held accountable for behaviors and I was wondering how you handle that? We just got home from vacation, it was great. Talk to you soon, thanks Jess.
