Utilizing my professional racing career to help your sons & my cousin with DMD

My name is Shea Holbrook, 20 of Groveland, FL and on July 3rd the Dick Ide Honda Civic Si, with me behind the wheel, will take the grid at The Grand Prix of Watkins Glen with World Challenge alongside the Indy Racing League.

It is our goal to raise $10,000.00 by July 3rd in a benefit for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy and we are asking you to PLEASE help us promote to raise awareness and funds.

Supporting the fight against Muscular Dystrophy was an easy choice for me. I have two cousins with Duchenne, Matthew and Jordan Klapp (Matthew 1989 -2008). When Matthew passed away I felt like I had an obligation to my family, Jordan,Matthew, and to myself, to do anything in my power to help end this disease and raise awareness.

Matthew and I graduated from high school in 2008. At this point Matthew was getting much weaker and didn't attend school much in the past year. But yet, no one forgot about him at school. Before the principle could even say Matt's name a few thousand families stood on their feet cheering and clapping for Matthew Klapp while his brother David walked alongside him.

Later that year Matthew passed.

In 2010 I debuted my first professional race in the streets of St. Petersburg, FL for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg with World Challenge. We showed up as the only team with no sponsorship or partners, we came to race for a cure. To END DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY. This is where my relationship grew with PPMD. Together we raised $7,535!

I guess you could say that it's my dream to be the next Danica Patrick (Indy Car driver). But I want to be Shea Holbrook racing with a passion for the sport and starting every race to cross the finish line, ending Duchenne. A real win for me will be when we find a cure and my cousin Jordan and your sons can grow
up to be race car driver, CEO's, lawyers, and fathers.

You can count on me and I know I can count on you. I need your help in promoting this race in conjunction with our fundraiser.

Please contact me here, on facebook, linkedin, twitter or my website http://shearacing.com/

I've partnered with Dick Ide Honda in Rochester, NY to help promote this fundraiser through tv commercials, voiceovers for the radio, and on the web! Check out what we put together and click play to see the commercial, I think you all will like it! http://idehonda.com/shearacing_md/

P.s. - I'm giving away two tickets to the race, no purchase necessary! So enter for a chance to win!

The Klapps and two other DMD families will be accompanying me to the grid and victory lane July 3rd at Watkins Glen. So watch us on tv when the race is aired, July 17th on VERSUS 11PM-12AM and online at http://world-challengetv.com/

Sincerely,

Shea Holbrook
