Mobility Reimbursments From Chrysler

I just found yesterday, that most of the big car companies have reimbursement programs for some mobility aids on our vehicles.  Our boys are still pretty young so we're not looking at wheel chair lifts just yet, but we did pick up a 2010 Grand Caravan a few months ago and had planned on putting running boards on anyways, and now it looks like they'll be covered.

The plan with Chrysler varies a bit from the US to Canada, but here's what I found out this morning.  Chrysler will reimburse us up to $750 for this type of work.  In our case, they must be Mopar brand running boards.  The dealership earlier told us installed they would cost about $500, so it should all be covered.  We'll have to pick up a form from the dealership and have our Doctor fill it out as well.  The dealership will then submit all that.  The modifications must be made within a year of purchase.

The number in Canada to find out more is:  1-800-265-6908.

In the US, have a look at: or call 1--800-255-9877

GM will reimburse $1000 for eligible adaptive equipment on a new Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac or GMC.  Plus two additional years of Onstar coverage.

All regular rebates apply as well.  And, as a GM employee, I will offer any member of the MD community a code for my friends discount.
