We just got back from another visit to CCHMC. We learn so much every time that we go. Wyatt had a rough day the first day. He was pretty much asleep all day (because of sedation), so when it was time for us to sleep, he was wide awake. He had an MRI and lots of blood work done. He's doing so well. All the doctors, nurses and staff members we talked to were so glad to see that he is finally growing. All his tests came back normal. We are waiting on some additional blood work (not related to DMD) to come back, so we are praying that will be normal too. I've got to say, I think I like going there in the summer rather than the winter. It was so cold, but I understand Jan and Feb are even colder.
We just need to continue to fight this fight. Tom and I were talking about when we were told about Wyatt's diagnosis. The doctors locally said nothing could be done, just go home and love him. In the last 11 months, we have done so much more than that. I couldn't imagine if we had done what the local doctors said. I know that Wyatt wouldn't be doing as well as he is. We are so glad we listened to our gut and some amazing people we met online and went to Cincinnati. It may not save his life, but you know, we're giving him the best possible chance.
.....................Thanks again Leslie and Alex ..................... We can't wait to see you and the boys again.
