About me:
I am an artist and love to paint in oils. I have a son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. My son is 26 years old. My son was six when he was diagnosed. We have had the hope of a cure for 20 years now.
About my family:
My husband, David and I have been married 28 years and have three beautiful kids. I am an artist and my husband is an engineer. Dake (with DMD) is 26 years old. Lyndsey is 24 and lives in Houston and studying to be a chef. Gracey is our adopted child from Guatemala and she is 9 years old.

LOL, that's a good memory to relive from childhood. Sheesh, 20yrs and toys for kids become toys for dogs! How is a dog supposed to bend the arms and legs around - it is bendable like they were back then? . Doug was too young to play with them, but the other two used to act out little plays with them. Nowadays the toys talk by themselves - not nearly so good for one's imagination. How is your bloke doing BTW? He looks fit. Best regards.

Hey you still got Gumby in one piece? My sons are mid-20's now & I remember one had gumby & one pokey as toddlers...took me back - thanks for the photo. from Oz.

Well, we had him tested and he does not have autism. Actually, we didn't even test him for that because the psychologist spent enough time with him to decide that he wasn't autistic...just has a few symptoms. She did do a cognitive test and he does show about a cognitive delay, which does indicate a learning disability. He starts kindergarten next year, so we will probably learn more then about his delay. Did your son have any learning disabilities?
