Go to www.towardsabrighterfuture.org.au for news of our national neuromuscular conference in Sydney, Feb 26-27, 2010. Draft program is online now, including concurrent breakout sessions. Share this update with affected persons and family for whom we have govt monies to offer some assistance to attend if needed.

Hi Louise,

I am so sorry I never replied to your message. In the time that I wrote to you, I have had my 4th child (a little boy) and things have been nothing short of chaotic here! i don't even get on the computer anymore - this is my first time in 4 weeks!

Anyway, I hope you are your children are doing well. When are you getting married? Congratulations, hope the day is perfect!

Better go, can hear my baby screaming for a feed! I feel like a dairy cow! Mooooo!!

Hi Louise,

Just wanted to say welcome! I am an Aussie mum of 3 (due with my 4th in mid-august) and currently living in London. My eldest son James (who is 5) has DMD. Where in QLD are you located? We have a holiday house on Broadbeach Waters that we come back to for holidays quite regularly, though my husband and I are originally from Collaroy in Sydney.

How old is your son? And how's he doing? I have heard that the standard of care for Duchenne in QLD is excellent! I am actually friends with Deb Robins, who helps run Parent Project Australia.

Anyway, welcome on here. I havn'et been on much lately (used to be on all the time) as I have had to take a step back from the whole DMD-obsession! It was getting me down! However, if you ever feel the need for a chat or a rant or a shoulder to cry on, you know where I am.

Take care,
Sharyn.
