Worlds first approved stem cell treatment

Though it's not for DMD the key point to note is that approval is given for kids who are not responding to steroids. The company is obligated to continue clinical trials while those left with no option can get the stem cells even while trials are ongoing. This is how terminal diseases should be dealt with. Not taking decades while generation of kids are fodder for the FDA process.…See More

AAV + Exon skipping in Canine models

Now we have canine studies on AAV delivering the exon skipping drug. I see this step as a major boost in the delivery efficiency of exon skipping drugs. Hopefully this is as dramatic as the canine videos that came out in 2008 demonstrating the working on exon skipping. MRI roadmap-guided transendocardial delivery of exon-skipping recombinant adeno-associated virus restores dystrophin expression in a canine model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.these results demonstrated that effective…See More

So how does it connect with Duchenne.

We know from the time astronauts have spent in space that, in a micro gravity…

Tulika,
Can you please forward me the Basic Information Form so that I can have it sent to the New Delhi lab for the stem cell treatment in China. My mom is contacting the lab today and is setting up a time to meet with them later this week but I need to get the paperwork to them. You can email it to me at
kpannu.subway@gmail.com you can also contact me on my cell phone at 916-205-8329 if you have any questions. Thank you. Kulwant.
