My son Brian (13 years old) and I visited the clinic today and a lot are being discuss about my son's health now and future with many doctors. There is one thing that we have to make a decision on, which is the scoliosis surgery. I am afraid of what happens next. My son's spine has a 30 degree curvature and his pulmonary is great condition. Hello,My son is in the 7th grade. I have been trying to get him an assistant in the event that he cannot move anymore. However, I have been unsuccessful. The special day class teacher is adamant that she is going to make my son independent. The truth is my son is independent. He likes to do things himself if he can. My son is the the GATE classes. He will soon need an assistant to help him with the simplest thing that need physical strength such as writing or math work. He also has class up…See More

The in-home-support service was also denied too because he does not receive medical. I told the social security office that I am not looking for financial from them but an approval for medical and in-home-support service qualification. He was not qualified because of my income. He brightens our day with out of the world comments and questions about anything. He is optimistic about his future. He enjoys conversations.
