I'm mom of Jake, the most amazing little boy, and wife to Mark, a truly great husband! I have the greatest job in the world! I work for a non-profit that provides art education to children primarily of lower socio-economic backgrounds, where I get to teach and work in administration and development.
About my family:
Mark, my husband of 6.5 years is a great dad to our son, Jake, who is turning 5! Mark is a trust officer for a regional bank, based here in Knoxville, and loves to play video games, as does Jake. Jake loves anything and everything Star Wars, and can out trivia anyone! He's a bright, active child with quite the imagination!

Hey Susan...I saw your post on Lisa from Pinson Tn. We actually live in Jackson and have a 11 year old with DMD. We also use Vandy for care..Just thought I would introduce myself and see about getting together when and if you still come to Jackson...
Hey Sis,
I finally figured out how to get here! It was quite a trip. But I will continue to surf this site too. We really enjoyed this weekend. Jake's party was quite to treat for us. I love to bowl but I have gotten really out of practice as you could tell from my delivery and score. LOL!! Give Jake a big hug from us and we will talk soon.
Love,
Mom
Hello Mark and Susan. Lori and I were chatting on Facebook the other night , so I looked for your PPMD profile then. It is hard to say welcome to the group when it sucks to be here myself, but there is a wealth of information here. We got Brandons final diagnosis Sept 14th, so we haven't got much more experience than you all, but I will do anything I can to help. At the point on a map where Ga, N.C., and Tennessee meet is where we live, about 2 hours away. We are leaving Thursday morning{the 18th} for Brandons first clinic visit at Vanderbilt, I am sorry we will not be there on the same day, it would have been a good chance to meet. Let me know if we can help in any way. Jim
