- About me:
- I am the sister and the Mom of someone with DMD. My brother died 23 years ago at the age of 19. The decision of starting our family was one we gave great thought and prayer because we knew I could be a carrier. Even after the genetic testing they couldn't tell me if I was a carrier. We both decided we needed to start our family and shortly after that we had a baby boy. Now he's 12!!
- About my family:
- We are a busy family living in the beautiful country where my husband grew up. We have 3 children and two dogs. Two of our kiddos are in wheelchairs. Our oldest has Duchenne and one of our twins has an unrelated brain maleformation. Life can be a challenge some days, but we try to stay positive and enjoy spending time together. We love the outdoors, playing Wii, cooking together, reading together and just having fun!! We feel lucky to have such great kids.
