Profile Information

About me:
My name is Shea Holbrook, 19 of Groveland, FL. I'm a college student at the University of Central Florida studying broadcasting and Communications. Some background on myself; at the age of eight I became a competitive water skier and by the age of fifteen held numerous state, regional and national title in waterskiing.
Racing became a passion of mine at sixteen and with the help of many my career in motorsports has rapidly grown.
I've become very active in my community and have been recognized as both a volunteer and leader. PPMD fundraising will not stop until there is a CURE.
In 2009 we helped raise over $12,000.00 for the Susan G Komen “For the Cure” of breast cancer. I volunteers time with local organizations like “New Beginnings” a home for women and children in who are in need of assistance. Works with a local web radio station, ZMax Radio and
produces a weekly “Racing with Shea” radio show.

In March of 2010 myself, family, friends and strangers raised $7,535 in helping lead the fight to END Duchenne. We try to raise as much funding as possible at the race track. Racing and DMD are passions of mine. Let's END DUCHENNE!
About my family:

An honorable and heroic mission, Shea. I'm humbled and deeply appreciative that you have dedicated yourself, and your significant talents, towards helping us all keep the hope for our boys revving. Just saying "thank you" just doesn't seem enough, but sincerely thank you.

Hi Shea. Thanks for replying. I think it's so great what you are doing. Racing to raise money to erase DMd. It's such a horrible disease. Sorry to hear about your cousin matthew. My son is Matthew also. And he is such a great character as well as you said about your younger cousin. where is your home town? I remember you mentioned Watkins Glenn as a place you raced. That's Upstate New York. We have a summer house up there. Ever heard of Lebanon Valley? Anyway, Matthew does not have a facebook page, as well as DMD, he's also Autistic. Although he's high functining, i think Facebook might be too much for him. Keep racing!!!

Shea,
I know the owner of a local (small) race museum here in Riverside, ca. Riverside used to be a big race town until the raceway closed. Loads of fans here nonetheless (now watch at Fontana raceway which is close to here) and I'd like to e-mail them something for/from you! Often toyed with the idea of doing a local fundraiser at this museum and trying to get car talk guys to come out for it! May I have a private way to connect with you...e-mail is good. Best- cheryl
