About me:
I am a happy and loving wife and mother. I have been married to my wonderful husband Andrew since 2003 and have been together since 2000. We have 2 happy little boys, Hayden and Cameron . I work part-time from home self-employed as a medical transcriptionist which is great as I can stay home and take care of the kids and work whenever to make some income.
About my family:
We are an extremely happy family of four: Andrew, Mandy, Hayden and Cameron . DMD has hit our family hard as both our boys and my sisters 2 of 3 boys also have DMD. One of the 5 boys in our family has been spared thankfully. Hayden was 3 when he was diagnosed. Cameron was only 6 months old when he was diagnosed.

Thank you Mandy for the information,

I already spoke with someone from Accentus here in Montreal inquire about what correspondence course they recommend, and they said CanScribe from BC, which is like $5000.00. But I see other courses available for less than $2000.00. Was your course on-line or "in person", and about how much did you need to pay, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Mandy ,welcome and sorry you had to join....,I only recently found this site and it has been a salve on my pain.It is very useful and you can find answers to all your questions.If you ever need to talk i am here.My little boy Lewis was diagnosed last summer with the no hope and no cure diagnosis.This site has been of immense support and great on those days where you are just overwhelmed.Please know a lot is happening and we all hope for some treatment very soon.Clare
