Lisa Crawford replied to Kira Mullaly's discussion Severity of DMD?"Hi Tammy, my son was also a toe walker, at age 4 he had heel cord surgery, he is now 8 yrs old. The heel cord surgery corrected the problem. I was also leary of him having this surgery, but I'm glad we went through with it."

- I'm a stay at home Mom wanting to reach out to others who share an interest in ending this terrible disease called Duchenne. I would like support from others who know what it's like& I would like to be there for others who may need a little support as well! We have to stick together, we must be our son's voices! Let's fight to end Duchenne once and for all!!
- About my family:
- I have a great husband named Mark. We have been married for 14 yrs. I have 2 sons ages 18 & 7, their names are Erik & Brendon. Although we have been devasted by this terrible disease known as Duchenne, it's made us stronger as a family. As bad as it seems I know people are faced with far worse circumstances. I must be thankful for what I have & count mt blessings, even though it's very hard sometimes. If God broughtit to you, He will get you through it.
