Profile Information

About me:
Hello, My name is Jenna. I have two sons Shane 11 and Jacob 9 years old. I married my best friend Tony. He is the best thing to ever happen to us. Right before we got married in 2006 we found out that Jacob has DMD. From that day, my world was turned up side down. It makes you open your eyes. For a long time, I didnt want to face it. His health stayed about the same for 2 years and I thought maybe the doctors were wrong.
That wasnt the case! He is know longer walking now. We just take it one day at a time. I treasure every minute I have with him.
Lucky to be his MOM! Jenna

My son Jacob is 9 years old (has DMD) and just stopped walking 3 weeks ago. My friends and I are trying to put together a Benefit for him. If anyone has any advice for me, please help? Thanks Jenna Shaw

It was so awesome alot of walking. We didn't get to see the whole Village though. It seem's like a dream it doesn't seem like it happened. That was the first vacation we ever took so maybe that's why.

Hi Jenna do you guys stay at Give Kid's The World. I signed up Damien for make a wish and we go to Walt disney and Give Kid's The World on Saturday January 10th. If you did it looked like your son had lot's of fun. I also wanted to say I wish the best for your family. So is it just your one boy that has DMD they say my youngest son doesn't show any of the signs. Well have a good evening

Hi Jenna

Thanks for posting on my comment wall. I was a bit surprised, because I just registered to this community. I guess I'm the first one from Switzerland. :-)

I wish your family the best. Hope against hope. I saw a lot of surprising things in the past 9 years in "my" summer and computer camps. Overall it looks like the children with DMD give me more back than I give them.
