From your history it seems u are not dmd as u could walk untill 18 yrs of age . Even u were diagnised at the age of 9.
So typically your symptoms are of BMD
abt research in our country (india)
nothing much is happening .V are all keeping touch on the net with companies who are working hard on interventional drugs to slow the progress of this bloody disease.
