Physical Therapy

My son is 4 years 10 months now and he has been diagnosed with DMD on Oct 8 2009. He has started physical therapy after diagnosis, and he is doing well now. Yesterday his physical therapist told me that she may recommend my son for taking six months break and then continue the therapy. During the break, she suggest us do stretching exercises with her instruction at home. I really have no idea if my son should take six months break.Your advice is much appreciated!!Best Regards,Melanie    See More

Hi Melanie,
I also live in the Houston area (Montgomery). Not sure if you are aware, but we have a local F.A.C.E.S group in Houston. If you look through the groups here online, you can find the one for South Texas. We'd love to meet you and have you join us at one of our future meetings. If you can give me your email address, I'll add you to our mailing list for future events.

Laurie (mom to Sam, age 7, DMD, exon 50 deletion)
