There is a certain sense of solidarity we derive from those moments in which we share in the suffering of others. In sharing in the suffering of others, we start realizing that suffering is not a unique cross to bear. Rather, suffering is something that is part and parcel of the human condition. About me:
I'm a 27 year old currently living with Duchenne. I'm a proud graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland and have also completed my requirements for a Masters degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School at the George Washington University. Professionally speaking, I am currently an Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Intern at the Center for a New American Security.
