Hi Andrew - PPMD is a US-based charity so we can't issues tax receipts that are valid in Canada. We do have families in Canada that benefit from our services so we hope that you will still consider running with us!

Is PPMD a registered charity in Canada?

We're planning on moving this summer and I'll be closer to some of these runs and would like to participate.  It would be much easier to do some fundraising if I could tell people (in Canada) that their donations are tax deductible.

We've added several new races to our calendar, including the inaugural Avengers Half Marathon Weekend and Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend, both at Disneyland; and the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon. Check out our race calendar and join us for a race! You don't need to be a great runner, you just need to want to go the distance to end Duchenne!

Vote for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy and help us win $50,000!

Chevron is donating $50,000 to the Houston Marathon’s Run For a Reason Charity that receives the most votes between now and January 8th. Just click this link, select Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, hit Vote, and you’re done! It’s that easy.

Vote now, then share this with everyone you know and ask them to vote too! The charity with the most votes wins.

Meet Julie Toy, our latest Runner in the Spotlight! Julie has run several marathons with Run For Our Sons in honor of her friend's son, and volunteers frequently at local fundraisers to help end Duchenne.

Is running alone or with a group the better option for you? Read our April training blog, which weighs both options, and then tell us which you like better and why!
