Anyone interested in working with me in putting together a delightful cookbook to raise money for PPMD???
I just completed one cookbook that is a hard back padded 3 ring binder (vegetaraian) cookbook that we are using to raise funds for the social non-profit organization that I run (HS Alumni Association). It has almost 700 recipes in it. Although the main dish is basically vegetarian/vegan, the rest is not. It will become available in December.
I am also currently working on a cookbook for the Domestic violence community that I run with my therapist. It is also (will be) a social non-profit oraganization in the next few months. But we are raising funds for Aikido Meadows -the webcommunity we have for North Central Florida since this area lacks support groups for this type of program. We are in the beginning stage of the cookbook.
However, I have considered doing a cookbook for PPMD as a fundraising idea. I just don't want to do this alone. I don't want to see most of the names as a recipe contributor as my name. That is just to boring and it needs to be about the kids, not about me (hope that made sense). I know there are a few ladies at the PPMD community that shared an interest and I wanted to see if there is anyone else here who may be interested in participating too.
I'm setting a minimum goal of 500 recipes. No less. The more, the better. It can be more of a Kidz Cookbook too. foods kids like to eat and add fun crafts stuff at back of cookbook that they like to do. Of course, this is just a suggestion.
I know the former PPMD of Sweden (new name now) just had a cool cookbook done with celebrities favorites with their pictures and autographs in it. It turned out really nice.
So how does it sound to the Mom's Cafe members? Please let me know and I can start the process with the publisher I work with. You can enter recipes on line into a recipe database. It is really easy to do. You can also enter unlimited recipes and invite family and friends to participate too.
Look forward to hearing from you!
