Hi Don. There's a FACES group starting up in Michigan - Pat Furlong will be in town to meet with families at the next meeting, which I believe is Nov 7. I believe they're going to do it in GR. Try to contact Anessa Fehsenfeld or Deanne Friar on here, or private message me your email address, and I'll send it over to them on regular email. We're all on Facebook also, you can look for us there. Definitely consider coming - we had a picnic with about 10 families back in August. Some great families and a good support network.

My son with MD is 11. We have another that's 14. We live in Hartland, MI, which is 30 minutes north of Ann Arbor. Keep in touch.

Hi everyone...my husband and I and 3 children live in the Southern Suburbs of Chicago however, have a family place near Three Rivers, Michigan that we spend 1/3 of our year. Would love to connect up with some Michigan families....My son will be 15 in a few months and is doing extremely well...He has deletion 3 thru 7. He has overcome many obstacles including a broken femur 2 years ago but he isn't letting that stop him....He loves life and lives everyday to the very fullest. Please keep us in mind for any local fundraising events or get-togethers. We would also be very open to having any of you stop and visit with us when we are in the area. Feel free to drop us a note at anytime.
Also would like to welcome the Lundy family back to Michigan...I know that Grand Rapids isn't far from us if you would like to get together. Good luck with your transition. Looking forward to hearing from our Michigan friends. Kathi Cooley

Both my husband and I were born and raised in Michigan. We have been living in Ohio and Texas for the last 15 years. I will be starting a new job in the Grand Rapids area. We are looking for other DMD families in the GR/ Western Michigan area.

Let's plan for 8:30 am this Saturday. I was thinking maybe we meet in Brighton? There's a Big Boy right off the exit. I'm open to suggestions on the place. We need to do it on the early side, Julie's got an appointment at 11.
