You may be aware that the new Commonwealth Government is conducting an inquiry into BETTER SUPPORT FOR CARERS who care for those with chronic illness, disability and frailty. Your view as a Carer is vital to help the government understand why the current system of support does not work for you, and to ensure that future services better meet your needs as a Carer.
We also encourage you to make a submission to the Inquiry before 4th July 2008. Writing your own letter to the committee helps the government to better appreciate the diversity of caring circumstances and needs. Letters must address some or all of the Terms of Reference and may be sent directly to the Chairperson of the Inquiry via email at committee.reps@aph.gov.au Take a look at the terms of reference and the proforma attached.
