wheelchair ramp

i do not know if i am putting this in the right place, but...

I built my son a ramp to get off the back deck,  to the bus, but he is still mobile and when it snows (in michigan) it becomes slippery, does anyone have any ideas to make it not slippery? or at least less. i was thinking even bathtub nonslip strips, but would they stick to wood? has anyone tried something that worked?
