traveling to Mexico
Our entire family is headed to Sandos Playacar in the Mayan Riviera
next week, with a group of 48 friends, we've found a company in
Cancun called www.forhandicaptravelers.com , Hospitality & Fun.
They will be able to transport our son,Carson's, electric
wheelchair in a wheelchair accessible van and were quite reasonable,
$99.00 u.s. each way and can take up to 6 passengers. We will
also be able to book them for excursions and if something goes wrong with Carson's chair, they even rent electric scooters.
I let you know when we get back how it all worked out.

We just returned from Sandos Playacar, Playa Del Carmen. All my son's
friends went with us, we were a group of 51. Hospitality & Fun was "excellent"
our flight was delayed 2 hrs and no problem, there they were waiting for us.
They also offer handicap tours, beach wheelchairs ($40.00 for delivery to the
hotel & $35.00 p/day rental) and scooter rentals ($50.00 p/day plus delivery) .
The Sandos Playacar was totally wheelchair accessible. We even had a
wheelchair accessible room in the Riviera section. Gorgeous HUGE bathroom.
They even had wheelchair accessible washrooms in both Lobbys. The only
spot not accessible was the Disco, which Carson was too young for anyhow.
The Mexican Staff couldn't have been nicer.
