Dear All,
Please kindly help with some ideas /advises .
My son is almost 12 , and he is getting weaker and weaker every day.
For now we use a scooter to go back and forth ...soon we will need to give up the scooter and
change to a power chair.
I have looked at the power chairs available and they all are very , very heavy and big.
My problem is that we live at the 4 th floor in a block of flats , and the elevator is tiny, so a power wheelchair will not fit.
I will be grateful for any ideas .What power chairs should I look for?
Many thanks in advance. Andreea

My son used a scooter before his power chair. Yes they are heavy but his mid drive power chair has a much smaller turning radius than the scooter did. Not sure what type of scooter you have but ours was probably larger than the chair. I would post this question on one of the dmd groups on facebook. You will most likely get more feedback there.

I have this two models for different uses:

Smartie from Shoprider : is an ultra-light (93 lbs.) power chair with all-new Envirofriendly® battery technology. Its high-powered, long-lasting, lithium-ion. this can be transport in 3 parts 33 lbs each .

Jazzy Select from Pride Mobility
