My sons occupational therapist has suggested ordering a special desk to make my son more comfortable in school. They have raised some tables for him to use but this can be awkward for him. Has anyone used a desk in school with an electric chair that seems to work?

My son is home instructed so I havent run into this problem but we use a tray that was made for his wheelchair. It is put on and taken off. My husband also increased the height of a card table for my son when the teacher comes or when he plays board games with us.

We had our school buy architect desks. The desk sits higher, has side compartments and also tilts. Justin has one in everyone of his classrooms and the cafeteria. His books and folders go in the sides and we have a container of pens and pencils and paper on top. Justins powerchair fits under it. I love the fact that it tilts. We can position it at the angle Justin needs.
