James is a really good sleeper and settles down easily, sleeping from 7pm till 7am. However,he doens't do well lying in one spot, lying head to toe in bed. He ends up lying in all different directions in his bed, and if it were a normal bed he would definitely fall out of it onto the floor. Luckily, he has a Little Tykes racing car bed, with raised sides so he is pretty much enclosed all around. Whenever we go away, we either need toddler rails or to push a desk or chairs up to the side of the bed so he doesn't fall out. He has fallen out a few times, so we take precautions to guard against him really getting injured. Just prior to moving to England, he fell out of bed and the top of his ear hit the aluminium windowsill, slicing straight through the cartilage and causing him to need 5 stitches to put the cartilage back togetehr! So we don't take chances now!
So to answer your question, I am not in the room to watch James sleep but based on where he ends up in the bed, I would say he jumps and moves around A LOT!
Sometimes I have restless nights where I am just tossing and turning....and can't seem to get any rest at all!
I don't know if it has to do with the steroids or what?
Prednisone is known to cause insomnia
That could be why?
