We have a full size GMC Savana van that we got just before Brandon got his power chair. Until now, Brandon has driven the power chair up into the van and transferred into his normal van seat. It is now getting a lot harder for him to do, so we need to add some kind of restraint system so he can ride in his power chair. I think I have decided on the Q-straint Max, but wondered what everybody else thought, Have you used this system before. like it, don't like it? I would really appreciate any input, thanks.

We have a minivan with a side entry for the power wheelchair.  The van came with an EZ Lock system.  We recently had to replace it because of wear in the floor bracket.  The cost for the replacement unit, installed, was around $1,200.  We had quotes up to $1,500.  The system is great because it doesn't require any manual connections other than the shoulder seat belt.  You can go online and get more details about how the EZ Lock works.  Any questions, let me know.

Thank you very much.

We have the Q straint system in our full size Ford E250 and we are happy with it. It is easy to get him secured since they are self-tightening. They are also easy to undo also, just a push of the lever and they release. My husband works in aerospace and says that they are the same restraints that Fed-Ex uses to secure cargo, so he was very confident in their strength to hold Jonathan in securely. There is also a lap and shoulder belt. You develop a rhythm pretty quickly with it all.

Susan, thank you very much, that is exactly what we were hoping to hear.
