I was with my son on his first visit to physiotherapist. We spent time mainly playing and She observed our boy. She was surprised of him being diagnosed that early.
But she explained to us that at present when he shows no signs of DMD we should focus on learning him how perform movements most effectively. My son, when he is laying on his back he always moves his body up directly and it is hard to him. She suggested that we learn him to turn on his belly and then move up first his arms and later stand up.
She also notice that he alway uses his left leg to stand up from his knees. We should try to make it symmetric. She suggested that we observe him and anything he does should be symmetric.
We are also attending a swimming pool for small babies. He has so much fun with it. He splashes and screams.
