I have a 18yr. old son that has been in a wheelchair for about 4 1/2 yrs. Just in the last year, he has been complaining about his testicles hurting ("like their is a stick in one of them"). We are in the process of getting a new chair for him that is wider in the seat for him. His genitials have not really gone through puberity yet (enlarged). I took him to a urologist that didn't find anything and thought that the testicles were just getting squeezed by his thighs. The rep from the wheelchair repair co. said that he has many complaints from boys in their late teens and early 20's of this problem. Wondering if their our older boys that have this problem and have any luck solving it.

Thanks

My son is 19 and we haven't encountered that problem - fortunately. Jon has a ROHO cushion -- air filled. That might help -- maybe???? Not much help. Good Luck!

My son complains about pain ever now and again, had some tests done and could not find anything. He has not complained in a while. It is worrying when you do not know what to do. I always consult the doctor when he does complain excessively. When it is a moan or two and then he forgets about it, I do not worry too much.
Hope this helps a bit.
