Nightly Protein/Amino Acid Supplementation helps reduce muscle breakdown

Effects of overfeeding in children with muscle dystrophies

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2515307

Progressive muscle wasting and reduced functional capacity can be reduced or even reversed by nightly overfeeding with 1000 ml of Osmolite in addition to the voluntary daytime dietary intake.

In this article, it explains DMD patients require 68% more protein than an average adult.  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1506920

It is already part of Becker trial. Very interesting
Mars sells a product named VIA. Been taking for few months. No adverse effects I can see. No obvious change in function, but that was expected. The trials involve a much, much more powerful derivative.

what about Follidrone?

Jason, What supplement are you having the pharmacy compound?

I give my son 600 mg of COQ10

I buy it from Costco Canada from Kirkland brand. My son is in a PF-06252616 Myostatin inhibitor,so I am not sure if this improvement is due to drug(if he is taking the drug) or due to Coq10

Moein, what was your son like prior to the myostatin inhibitor and what is he like now?  When did he start steroids?  What is his weight? Thanks!

My son is 10 years.he seems to be more active
My precious grandson has been taking steroids for 8 years, and suffers from the side effects (irritability, OCD issues) as well as the normal progression of DMD.
Has anyone found a good solution to counter the side effects of steroids?

Yes he is on steroids and everyone should be on it since steroids can really bring a true improvement

he started steroids at 4.5 year. he is now 10 years and 47 kg.

he is okay now,but I am not sure that he is taking the drug or the placebo
