PPMD Community

New Discussion Tab

Hello All,

PPMD has altered the Community site's Discussion Forum adding the "General Discussions" Tab. For those who participated on the old site this was the place families posted questions and comments that didn't quite fit on the other pages.

If you have questions or comments about clinics, insurance or other topics that you're not sure where they fit, this is the place. On the previous site this was probably the most popular place for people to post.

Is there any way to come on and see the most recent posts? I found the old board better in that respect. It seems like here I come on and miss posts.

I agree. Having to view three different pages to find anything new isn't exactly an improvement.

I totally agree. I like to see a list or page of recent posts (like the old PPMD message board) before this one was created. I do read alot of stuff here but its hard to follow some topics because they fall off the main page.

Thanks for adding that category. I think that's a great idea.

I agree too ... the new setup is not really convenient for those looking for just the latest items. The old layout made it much easier to see which forums had new activity. I do like the separate General topic, but in that vein, I think it might also be useful to add one entirely on Insurance & Equipment, or something like that, that is separate from the "General" topics.

Hello All,

I agree the old forum provided a more convenient way to view the most current activity. Unfortunately the security of that type of forum was marginal and was prone to hackers and inappropriate postings. This forum is designed as a community site something like Facebook or Myspace which also has limitations. I don't know if there is a resolution, but will inquire.

I have to agree with everyone else. Our previous site was so much easier to zip through and pinpoint the things you are interested in reading. I would like to see that format back again if possible.

Agree that this is not good.

An option to investigate is whether the home page of the community site can display more than 3 entries under recent activity. That would help.
